What we achieved

We fought for tens of thousands of Euros for employees who were ordered to work on-call but were never paid for it by Markíza, which was against the law.

We have ensured proper reimbursement for night shifts in the future. Some colleagues' salaries have increased by hundreds of euros per month.

Every day we help colleagues negotiate better conditions and correct contractual provisions

After our pressure, the employer postponed the introduction of the new guideline for editorial work, and we provided fundamental comments on its final version.

After our establishment, many external positions began to be internalized and salaries were valorized.

Today, if you turn on Televízne noviny, the main news evening programme, you might ask yourself: “What are they talking about? The news is absolutely fine!” Yes, and it is only thanks to our constant and persistent work. If the viewer did not notice any change in the quality of our critical journalism on the screen, thats is our greatest success. Because management's plans were completely different at the beginning of 2024.
